I beat Rainbow Six Vegas

Thursday, March 29, 2007

Well..... at least the Normal Difficulty Campaign... not the Realistic Difficulty Campaign. So by beating the Campaign I unlocked the following achievements; Tough Hombre (30 Points), High Roller (30 Points), High Climber (30 Points), Street Cleaner (30 Points), Hell Hound (30 Points), Dam Buster (30 Points). However while obtaining the Campaign Achievements I also acquired the "Equipment Specialist" Achievement by doing the following... To avoid losing my Frag Grenades or Incendiary bombs what I would do when I came to an Outfitting Box I'd switch through each item once. Then kill myself then go back to the Outfitting Box and replace it with something I didn't use yet. By going through each of them once I unlocked the Achievement. Because, the Achievement states... "Used all Gadgets at least once in single player Story".

Selling Second Life Sex on eBay

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Second Life is a pretty intense game but, to earn $50,000 for a Sex business is crazzzy I think. Here is the eBay listing Amsterdam in Second Life. The Amsterdam's developer, Kevin Alderman of Tampa, Fla., went by the name of Stroker Serpentine. The buyer ended up just offering the cash payment for the land. There are other thing on eBay that you can buy in order to grow in the Online game of Second Life... such as 100,000 Lindens Second Life Money.

Creative Advertising

I came across this site that was crazy creative and I was like damn I wish I was this good in FLASH. It takes the concept of the image collage and turning it into a FLASH animation that shows bits and pieces of Japan. The cool thing is that if you move your mouse over the bottom part of the shoe (the white part) then Anime Cartoons show up. You can find out what I'm talking about by going to the site... The Domain Name Game

Well it's that time of year again where I have renew alot of my domain names. When renewing them I usually would go through GoDaddy.com and use a Promo code to get my domains cheap. But just recently I started going through 1 & 1 to get my domain names because of how cheap they are even without a "Promo Code". The 1 & 1 Domain names are just $5.99 whereas the Godaddy domains even with a "Promo Code" can only get as cheap as $6.99...Unless you buy some of their packaged products like hosting, security, and other stuff along thoses lines. However if you know of any Promo Codes for Godaddy that are a good discount just leave them as a comment...

Google Pay Per Action

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

GoogleIs Google going to kick the Affiliate Marketers in the junk by starting up their own affiliate network...? Hmmmm... that's what it seems like since they started the Adword "Quality Checks" on site being listed in Adwords. I don't know you can decide for yourself by reviewing their site... Wild Domain Names listed on eBay Auctions

While surfing eBay I usually find some strange auctions. When I was searching it earlier this morning I came across a few... so I decided to share them with you...

It seems crazzzy that the domains/sites are even going for the amount they are asking but I guess it's kind of like art in a way... "just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone else wouldn't like it" I guess people think it's back in the early 90's when it was the hottest thing to purchase online sites and domains.

Homes For Sale for Less than a Car

Now this is a somewhat sad story if you thinks about it. There are houses that are listed in this story that have gone for as low as $1,300 that's right... $1,300 for a house. Granted it's a foreclosed house in Detroit but, even so a house that cheap there must be some problems. It may end up becoming a modern day Money Pit but, who knows... Well here is the link to the whole story.

Rainbow 6 Restricted Equipment Glitch

Monday, March 19, 2007

When you enter an online xBox Live game in Rainbow Six and there is "Restricted Frag Grenades" there is a way to unrestrict them so you can use them... however if you do this glitch tehm you more then likely are going to get kicked from the game. But that's the price you pay... Here is how to do it..
  1. when the game is started press start to pause the game.
  2. scrool down to equipment in the menu to your right click it.
  3. next you'll see your equpment menu pop up.
  4. to do the glitch just press your ( Y ) button to reset your weapons.
  5. now run around like a crazy man and kill people with your grenades.. it's that easy!
If you know of a better way to do this then leave a comment on how to do it. Thanks!

Bring back Old School Cartoons...

Friday, March 16, 2007

Everynight before I go to bed I turn on The Cartoon Network Channel which is an all cartoon channel. And as I read the upcoming shows I look for some old school cartoons.. I can't find any. I just wish they would bring back the old cartoons like The Flintstones, The Smurfs, or Tom & Jerry. Granted they were a little harsh at times however the creativity of the cartoons is what made them interesting... for instance in a Tom & Jerry cartoon there was hardly ever any voices in the cartoon it was mainly background music based. And as for The Flintstones and The Smurfs almost every episode it was as if the cartoon was trying to teach the viewer a lesson in life.

Fake Rainbow 6 Elites

Thursday, March 15, 2007

Last night I was playing Rainbow 6 when the guy that was hosting the Team Sharp Shooter game booted an Elite... I thought hmmm.. that was strange so I asked him why boot an Elite and he said "if he doesn't have the achievement then he's a fake elite" I was like really? then he said... "yeah if the player doesn't have the achievement then it means that they signed into someone elses account/name and copied the file to their name and played as that person but, if you play as a person from Colonel up you'll get the achievement" So now I pretty much check the Player cards when I'm waiting in the lobby of the game before it starts.

Finding 3 Column Blogger Template

I've been trying to find a 3 column template for classic blogger but, all I keep coming across is awesome 3 column templates for Wordpress. I've tried to work with Wordpress but it drives me crazy that you have to pay for every little step you want to take in order to add this or add that.

In addition to the Wordpress templates I keep finding some good templates for the new beta Blogger but, I don't want to keep tweaking the template to get it to look like a blog I want. Well since I keep coming across the same sites over and over I figured I'd share them with you... Here are some 900+ Wordpress templates EmilyRobbins.com, and here are some very good (classic Blogger) templates GeckoandFly.com. Do you have any favorite places you go to get a blog template..? If so please feel free to leave it in a comment.

Myspace Marketing and Advertising your Profile

When it comes to the Social Networking thing I really only deal with one Networking site... Myspace.com. Reason being is that Myspace is like the King of Social Networking almost like Google is King of Search Engines. So why would I want to deal with all the other smaller networking sites when no doubt the people who have a profile in the smaller networking site will more then likely have a Myspace profile. Well enough about who's better then who when it comes to Social Networks. What I really wanted to express was how I hate the fact that I have over 10,000 friends and each day I log into my account there is a guarantee that i'll have a "deleted friends" image left on my comments or in my internal mail box. It's almost like the Rolex watch spam emails I get everyday in my regular email... it drives me crrrazy! So out of the 10,000 friends I really only have like 150 really friends in the mix the others are creative designers, clothing companies, bands, artist, celebrities, and spam accounts.

Learning SEO and Internet Marketing

While I was going to school there was never any mention of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), or any Online Marketing for that matter. What I know know is what i've taught myself over the years or what i've read up on from legends like Jeremy Schoemaker (a.k.a ShoeMoney), John Chow (a.k.a John Chow), and Darren Rowse (a.k.a ProBlogger). They have taught me tips and tricks of the revenue trade. However when it comes to the subject of White Hat SEO, Gray Hat SEO, or Black Hat SEO i've taught myself thoses tricks. Like way back when it was cool to collect a whole bunch of fonts at the bottom of your page and make it the same color as that background now that is "old school". Well the point i'm trying to get accross is that there should be alot more information provided in school about online advertising and the many functions of it. Instead of taking several years to teach yourself how to do it and keep up with the latest events happening with it.

It's all about the money... Google gets sued for over $1 billion

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

That's right Viacom Sues Google Over YouTube Clips. The Media conglomerate Viacom Inc . sued Google Inc. and its Internet video-sharing site YouTube for more than $1 billion on Tuesday in the biggest challenge yet to the Web search leader's strategy to dominate the online video market.

So pretty much when it all comes down to it the internet is "All about the Money!" Why go for over a billion..? why not several million...? What would be crazy is that if Google would now come after the people who submitted the copyrighted videos. As the Artist and Record companies did with the whole Napster thing. That would suck! You can read more about the story here... Associated Content

Trying to find my local salary...

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Well i tried to find out what some of my local colleagues are making (salary wise) who are in the same industry as myself or better yet who are doing the same thing as I am. I tried to use the site Salary.com because they have a salary wizard on there site that helps you with what locals in your area are making as well as what the employers are paying. Well, here's the thing.... I can't find my job tile on the site anywhere... granted there are job titles on there that are similar to my profession but the description that is given is way to intense compared to what I do. Here are just a few job titles I give myself in certain company.
  • Internet Marketing Consultant
  • e-Marketing Specialist
  • Search Engine Marketer
  • Internet Marketer
  • Pay Per Click Specialist
  • Online Marketer
  • Web Marketing Specialist
  • Affiliate Marketer
  • Revenue Robot (i had to throw it in)
The site does list the career of a Media Buyer but, I don't consider myself a media buyer. Because the job description involves alot more then what I do. So until Salary.com includes more "Internet Friendly" jobs i'll have to keep giving the same ole' salary requirements I always give.

Generating Revenue from sites

Thursday, March 8, 2007

Way back in 2002 when I first generated a commission sale from my first site it was as if I sold the first thing on ebay... better yet seeing someone actually willing to buy something from me was exciting enough. So as the years go by commissions and revenue started to climb higher and higher.. but as the years progressed i've noticed alot after reviewing my revenue and site statistics. The main thing that i've noticed is that just because a site is generating alot of traffic doesn't really mean it's going to generate revenue. For some of my sites it's like as if they have a roller coaster track they are following. Which explains the roller coaster revenue checks that i've received from them. ehhh i figure it's just one of thoses hurdles that I have to go with when it comes to online marketing my own sites.

Using Celebrities to Feed traffic to your Blog or Website.

While doing online marketing research for a few months on trying to find ways to get people to my site without having to pay for traffic. So pretty much I've come to the conclusion that if you use a celebrities in anyway possible on your site or blog you will gain traffic. For instance if I were to create a simple page of "Paris Hilton" and her bad behavior i'd get alot more traffic to my site just because of the simple fact I used "Paris Hilton" as a key topic on my site. It's a simple marketing tactic that i've started to use just for the simple fact it saves on traffic spends per month. However, I don't recommend this is for everyone.. but it has worked for myself.
